Kashi* Carob Balls Recipe
Perfect for holiday gifting or anytime you want a sweet treat, this fun dessert relies on natural sweeteners plus bran, sea salt, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, and Kashi* Honey Puffed Grains Cereal for a toasty, salty-sweet crunch.
Makes 24 servings
1/4 cup expeller-pressed canola oil
3/4 cup roasted carob powder
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
1 cup oat bran or wheat germ
Pinch of sea salt
3/4 cup lightly toasted sunflower seeds
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup Kashi* Honey Puffed Grains Cereal or Kashi* Puffs cereal
1/4 cup toasted sesame tahini paste
1. In a mixing bowl combine oil with carob and blend until smooth.
2. Add honey, molasses and water. Stir well. Stir in bran, sea salt, sunflower seeds and cinnamon. Combine with cereal and tahini.
3. Roll into 1-inch balls. Ready to eat or bake in oven for 10 minutes at 350°F. Remove and cool.
